Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE CLUBHOUSE CLICK HERE The Strait Line Anglers Club is a group of fisherman devoted to increasing angling opportunities and knowledge. We are anglers that are truly dedicated to learning, teaching, and actively taking part in fishing events. Guests are invited to come to any meeting to see what we are all about. Conservation of our fisheries and the promotion of ethical angling practices has been a Strait Line Anglers club code. The club also strives to achieve connectivity with other fishing clubs in the area. This will insure the longevity of our great sport through numbers. The club is situated in Grimsby, Ontario but hold events that focus primarily on the Niagara/Hamilton area. Events such as the Salmon Dance tournament out of Fifty Point, the bass tournament series that tours locations on Lake Erie and the Niagara River, and a Steelhead derby on the lower Niagara River in the late fall. Most events are open to the public but in order to get into the Year Long Big Fish Club Contest or the Angler of the Year, you got to be a member. The club meets every first Tuesday of each month. We meet at the Grimsby Legion. Guest speakers and club news and business fill the agenda of each meeting. The most common question about the club is the name and it's spelling "Strait" rather then "Straight". It's simply a play-on-words. Strait is a name of a long, large size water-body, such as the Davis Strait. This is somewhat descriptive to the waters that our club members typically fish- Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The Strait Line Anglers Club is a registered non-profit organization. Comments from Club Members...Click Here |
