Sign-up

Teams registering to compete towards "Classic Payout";

1.)  The first four tournaments, each team may use one floater person, but must fish with team partner in the final tournament (Port Ontario Classic) or fish solo.

2.) Upon registering your team, the Captain requires to add the name of his/her teammate that would subsequently be checked for attendance at each tournament. You are allowed only one substitution in your partners absence-please register a partner that will attend at least three of the four tournaments (one being the Final Classic Tournament).

3.) To be Eligible to fish for the Classic Payout, The total registered teams in the series will be split in half. 20 Teams registered then the top ten will advance to compete for the series payout. The top half of the series field begins the tournament equally at zero weight. The results of the Classic tournament alone determine the winners of the series payout. Qualify and fish hard at the classic. The bottom half are welcome to fish the last tournament with hopes of winning the tournament day's cash pot, but will not be eligible to win the series pot. The bottom half, do however, have the potential to win the moneys for the most improved team over the course of the series, so even if you ranked lower in the series, doesn't mean your out of the money.

4.) To register your team, you pay $70.00 and fill out sign-up sheet at Grimsby Tackle. You are not officially registered until payment is in full and your registration information is complete.

5.) It is in your best interest to register before the first tournament to begin competing for the "Classic Payout". If registration is paid after the series began, you will not be eligible to compete for the "Classic Payout".

6.)The "Most Improved Team" registered in the series is eligible to win up to $100. It is here where regardless of your ranking in the series, your team can make up positions by placing high in individual tournaments. The team that has climbed up the most positions through the series standings will win the Most Improved team. Watch the +/- of each team after every tournament. After all four tournaments are complete the +/- are added together to give you your advancement positions total. i.e. from first Tournament  to the results of second Tournament your team advanced two spots +2. After results of the third Tournament you slipped 1 spot in the series standings giving you -1. At the Final Series Classic Tournament your team does well and advances 4 spots in the series standings +4. Here's the calculation... (+ 2)+(-1)+(+4) = +5.

7.) Best three of four tournaments used for overall weight. ***Remember, it is in your best interest to fish all tournaments and remove your worst weight in the first four tournaments.***

Teams registering to compete in individual tournaments and not for the "Classic Payout";

Our bass tournaments are opened to the public and first time tournament anglers are welcomed. Entry to the tournament can be made the morning of the tournament, paying $70.00 for your team. You are competing for the prize pot generated for that tournament, but are ineligible for the "Classic Payout".
